Certain items in vanilla minecraft still exist in TFCraft, though their recipe may have been changed or an alternative recipe is available. For example, some items that require vanilla iron ingots can still be made using wrought iron ingots or sheets. Vanilla recipes are planned to be phased out in favor of the TFCraft recipes, but those listed work as of Beta Build 78.

Overview

This page is an index of available crafting recipes in Terrafirmacraft+ that do not warrant their own page. Certain items in vanilla Minecraft still exist in Terrafirmacraft+, though their recipe may have been changed. For example, some items that require vanilla iron ingots can still be made using wrought iron ingots or sheets.

Configuration

By default, the vanilla crafting recipe for the following items is disabled:

If true then the vanilla Minecraft recipes for creating the following items are enabled: wooden tools and weapons, furnaces, torches, sticks, planks, storage minecarts, red and yellow dye, bonemeal, fences, fence gates, wood stairs, wood slabs, wool blocks and leather armor. In addition, the following recipes are added for converting TFC+ blocks and items to their corresponding vanilla Minecraft blocks and items: red apples, cobblestone, leather, and stone shovels, hoes and axes.

Wooden Items

Plank Blocks

In Terrafirmacraft+, crafting logs results in lumber instead of plank blocks. Nearly all wooden vanilla item recipes have been replaced to use lumber instead of plank blocks, but plank blocks are still obtainable if you wish to use them as a building block. To craft wooden plank blocks, all you need to do is combine four lumber of the same wood type in a square.

Vanilla Iron Buckets cannot be crafted in TFC+. Wooden Buckets serve a similar purpose to a vanilla bucket, but is more limited in its uses. It can only pick up water to use in the crafting grid or to put it in a barrel and is therefore unable to place water. It can be used to carry water, milk and vinegar. Vanilla doors are craftable using 6 plank blocks. However, TFC+ has new doors made with an alternative recipe that requires 6 lumber of the same wood type. This produces a door of the specific wood type.

Trap Doors

Trap doors are craftable using the vanilla recipe of 6 plank blocks. However, Terrafirmacraft+ has an alternative recipe that requires only 6 lumber. Note: The vanilla recipe will yield 2 trap doors instead of one.

Metal Items

Minecart

Using 5 wrought iron sheets, a minecart can be crafted in TFC+. Just like in vanilla, minecarts can be combined with chests to create a minecart with chest. A Minecart with chest can hold 2 rows of items, the equivalent of a TFC+ double-chest. Breaking the minecart with chest returns both the minecart and chest.

Compass

The Compass can be crafted with 4 Wrought Iron Ingots and Redstone Dust, which can be obtained from grinding down Cinnabar or Cryolite in a Quern.

The Compass, when held, can be used to accurately view the Region the player is in.

Note: Unlike Torches in Minecraft, Lit Torches will set nearby things on fire! Be careful to remove all flammable blocks around the area before placing the Torch. Use a Candle or Firepit for indoor lighting instead.

Fishing Rods

Fishing Rods can be crafted with a pole, needle, and String without a 3x3 crafting area.

Bow & Arrows

Bows can be crafted in two stages. First an unstrung bow is made with poles, a knife, and string. Then the unstrung bow is crafted with string to get a bow. Arrows are crafted with stone flakes instead of flint. Note: The TFC+ recipe produces 1 arrow, vs vanilla's 4. The Bow is also used to craft the Bow Drill.

Slimeballs

Slimeballs are made by placing a Large Ceramic Vessel of Fresh Water on top of a firepit by crouching and Rmb.png Right Clicking. Place several Small Raw Hides in the Large Ceramic Vessel, and seal the vessel. After four hours, the small raw hides will turn into slimeballs.

Slimeballs can be used in the creation of the Sticky Piston and in the creation of the Composite Bow.

Alcohol

While some Alcohol are still made by fermentation in a Barrel or Large Ceramic Vessel (though many recipes have changed), many are now distilled with a Still.
