Obtaining Tools

There are three main tools you will need for Glass working; They are the Ceramic Vessel, Sheet Mold, and Blowpipe.

Like all clay tools, the blowpipe must be fired in a Pit Kiln before use. The blowpipe can also be used as a less effective version of a bellows by holding in the hand and crouch-right clickong on a firepit or forge.

Materials

The three primary materials used in Glass working are silica Sand, Lime, and Soda Ash. Silica sands include Quartzite, Granite, Chert, Rhyollite, or Phyllite. Lime can be obtained by heating any shells or flux stone in a Furnace. Soda ash is created by cooking Sea Weed in a Fire Pit until it burns up. A full 160oz will give 64 pieces of Soda Ash, so each oz will give you roughly 0.4 pieces.

Creating Molten Glass

Creating glass functions very similarly to casting bronze. Put the Sand, Lime, and Soda Ash in a Ceramic Vessel with a 1:1:1 ratio. Place the vessel in a standard Pit Kiln and wait for it to finish. A base of one of each ingredient will create 7 units of glass. Once the Pit Kiln finishes the glasses can be turned into one of two things. Either glass panes by casting the glass into 200 unit sheet molds or 100 unit glass bottles through use of the Blow Pipe. If bottles are made, take the filled blowpipe, put it into your hotbar, and simply Right-click.
