For those who want to make their farms: irrigation doesn't work and maximum range of watered soil is predefined with generation of the world and is 4 blocks from the still fresh water generated with the world. Irrigation doesn't work(no streams, nor newly generated water sources makes any effect). So, watch the banks of pounds carefully, keep watching watering limits. If banks are not enough - terraform lakes by splitting it's surface with 4 stripes of soil per 1 stripe of water. --Mitrill (talk) 08:25, 9 July 2016 (CDT)

I don't know what makes you think this, because it's simply not true. There's absolutely nothing that tracks what water blocks are generated in the world, and which ones are created by other means (either placing with a bucket, or combining two adjacent sources). Flowing water also works for irrigation. If you are able to consistently reproduce and prove your above statement is true, that is a bug and you should report it on the forums. --Kittychanley (talk) 12:44, 9 July 2016 (CDT)
