Terrafirmacraft+ introduces the idea of Thirst. Players will slowly get more thirsty, eventually suffering from effects like Slowness and Weakness, and will suffer heat strokes if they are completely dehydrated. Thirst is represented with a blue bar. Like Hunger, Thirst will go down slowly, even if players are not moving. Players can only drink fresh water from pools scattered throughout the world, distinguished from the coastal seawater by cattails and lily pads. Thus, finding fresh, drinkable, water is very important for survival.
