Roofs are blocks that can be placed on other solid blocks seamlessly. They can provide protection from extreme temperatures while the player stands up to 10 blocks below.
The Roofs available are:
- Thatch Roof +2 cold resistance
- Slate Roof +2 heat resistance and +4 cold resistance
- Ceramic Tile Roof +4 heat resistance and +2 cold resistance
Raw stone can form a natural roof if there are 7 solid blocks of contiguous stone within 12 blocks above your head. This means caves can give protection from high or low temps. A natural roof can give +1 heat resistance and +2 cold resistance.
