Armor Types

Armor is far more difficult to craft in TFC than it is in Vanilla Minecraft; however, what TFC armor lacks in accessibility it more than makes up for in protection. For a given attack the bulk of the damage will be taken by the armor with only a small amount going to the player.

Leather Armor

Main article: Leather

To begin crafting Leather Armor, place a piece of Leather into the crafting grid with a Knife, or right click with a piece of Leather in hand, and a knife in your hotbar. This will open up an interface similar to that of the knapping interface. The patterns you can make are the same as the patterns used for metal armor Plans.

Just as in Vanilla, Leather Armor can be dyed different colors by placing it in a crafting grid with some dye.

Metal Sheets

Metal sheets are the base components of armors in Terra Firma.

Work Double Ingot = Metal Sheet

Weld 2 Metal Sheets = Double Sheet

Making Metal Armor

Making metal armor in Terra Firma is done in three steps on an anvil.

First is to work out the basic shape using a plan for that specific armor piece.
Second is to weld more metal to the basic shape of the armor.
Finally you work the piece to seal all the seams and make it into a usable armor section.
