The description for both strategies has a few big flaws. Mainly the fact that it says to do the mining in every direction first. The proper way to use these methods is to do all of the steps for one direction before moving on to the next. Doing this also makes the averaging method almost exactly as reliable as the binary search.

Partial false negatives don't exist.

This kind of guide is very technical, making it that the average reader isn't going to be able to understand it unless you use a lot of images. I think a better solution, instead of implementing this page, is to link one of the many prospecting guide videos that are already out there, or I can even record a new one, and just put it in a Videos section at the bottom of the tool's page.
