Alcohol in TFC+ is divided in two categories: Fermented Alcohol and Distilled Alcohol. Fermented alcohol is a mildly intoxicating drink and can be used to make vinegar. Distilled Alcohol is a strongly intoxicating drink, and can be used as an antiseptic for crafting Sterile Bandages.

Obtaining
Alcohol is divided in two categories: Fermented Alcohol, which is made by fermenting fruits, vegetables, grains, or honey in a Barrel or Large Ceramic Vessel; and Distilled Alcohol, which is made by processing Fermented Alcohol in a Still.
Note: If the Large Ceramic Vessel is used instead of the barrel for making Alcohol, remember that its liquid capacity is half (500mB) that of the Barrel (1,000 mB). Recipe inputs are halved as well.
Fermented Alcohols
There are few basic recipes for making fermented Alcohols: the Fruit Wines are made by adding yeast to Fruit Juice; Mead is made by adding Yeast to a honey-water mixture; grain and potato wines are made by adding Yeast to a food-water mixture; and Beers are made by adding cooked malted grain to water.
Note: Yeast is not a specific item. Any amount of fruit or malted grain with at least 5% decay can be used as yeast.
Fruit Wines
Wines made from the Juices of Fruit, Agave, or Sugar Cane are the simplest to make. Just add Yeast to a container of Juice and seal it. The GUI of the sealed container will show the date sealed and the expected output. After 72 in-game hours, the yeast will be consumed and the Juice will turn into Wine.

Mead
Mead is made in two steps. First, create Honeywater by adding a bowl or bucket of Honey (100 mB) to a nearly full Barrel (9000 mB) of Fresh Water. The output is created immediately. The second step for is to add yeast to the container of Honeywater and seal it. The GUI of the sealed barrel will show the date sealed and the expected output. After 72 in-game hours, the yeast will be consumed and all the Honeywater will turn into Mead.

Grain Wines and Potato Wine
Grain wines and potato wine are made in two steps.
The first step is to seal at least 145 oz. of grain or *cooked* potato into a container full of Fresh Water. The GUI of the sealed barrel will show the date sealed and the expected output, which will be a food-water mixture (ex: barley water, potato water).
The second step is to add yeast to the container of food-water mixture and seal it. The GUI of the sealed barrel will show the date sealed and the expected output. After 72 in-game hours, the yeast will be consumed and all the food-water mixture will turn into Alcohol.

Beers
Beers are crafting from Malted Grains. To begin, place ⇧ Shift+ Right Click a Large Ceramic Vessel on top of a Firepit. Fill the Vessel with Fresh Water, add grain to the vessel's item slot, then seal the vessel and light the Firepit. After 4 in-game hours, the grains will turn into Malted Grain. Grain expands in volume by 20% when it is malted. If a full 160oz stack is used, the output will be a 160oz stack and a 32oz stack of Malted Grain.
The second step of crafting Beers is to roast the Malted grain. Cook the stack of Malted Grain in a Firepit. Any degree of doneness will work.
The final step is to seal at least 145 oz. of the cooked Malted Grain into a container full of Fresh Water. If the Malted Grain and Fresh Water mixture is correct, the GUI of the sealed barrel will show the date sealed and the expected output. After 72 in-game hours, the Malted Grain will be consumed and all the Fresh Water will turn into Beer. Beers do not require yeast.

Distilled Alcohols
Still
A Still can be used to create distilled Alcohols from Fermented Alcohols or to create Fresh Water and Salt from Salt Water. To create a Still, the player has to put a Large Ceramic Vessel on top of a Firepit and then add a Ceramic Blowpipe in the vessel's item slot. They then need to put another empty vessel adjacent to the main vessel to catch the product. If everything is set up correctly, the appearance of the distilling vessel should change to that of a clay still, signaling that the player is good to go. Once the liquid to be distilled is added to the vessel on the Firepit and the fire is lit, the product should begin to slowly fill the collection vessel as it is boiled off in the distilling vessel.
To obtain Distilled Alcohol, the player has to distill Fermented Alcohol in a Still. To start the process, start the firepit with a large vessel of fermented alcohol above it. After some time, distilled Alcohol will start to deposit in the receiving vessel. 75 mB of Distilled Alcohol is produced for every 200 mB of Fermented Alcohol. Using different kinds of Fermented Alcohols will result in different kinds of Distilled Alcohols.
