TFC+ has various types of Water. Water can be consumed, used for crafting, or even used for healing properties. All types can extinguish fires and will influence a player's Body Temperature and the Wetness of their clothing if they stand or swim in it.

Obtaining

Fresh Water generates in Rivers, Lakes, Swamps, Springs, and occasionally near Shores. It is often distinguished by the presence of Reeds. Fresh water can be collected from Rain by leaving an open Barrel or Large Ceramic Vessel exposed to the sky. It can be crafted by melting Snowballs in a Large Ceramic Vessel mounted on a Firepit. It can also be Distilled from Salt Water.

Salt Water is found in Oceans. Estuaries, and Salt Swamps. It cannot be crafted.

Hot Water generates in Hot Springs. It cannot be crafted.

Tannin Water is found in Peat Bogs. A Red Steel Bucket can also collect Tannin from a Barrel and place it in the world as a Tannin Water source block.

Use

Fresh Water can be consumed by the Player to reduce Thirst. It can be collected with various Containers. It is used for crafting Alcohol, Bread Dough, Mud, Tannin, Limewater, in the preparation of Fibers and Hides, and for crafting Slimeballs, and Plaster of Paris.

Salt Water cannot be consumed, but it can be collected with various Containers and is used to create Brine for Pickling and can be boiled to collect Salt.

Hot Water cannot be consumed. It can only be collected with a Red Steel Bucket. While a Player is standing or swimming in Hot Water, they get a buff to their Health regeneration. It can also increase the Player's Body Temperature.

Tannin Water cannot be consumed. Source blocks can only be collected with a Red Steel Bucket to be placed in a Barrel or Large Ceramic Vessel where it can then be used as Tannin.
