Overview

This page is an index of available crafting recipes in Terrafirmacraft+ that do not warrant their own page. Certain items in vanilla Minecraft still exist in Terrafirmacraft+, though their recipe may have been changed. For example, some items that require vanilla iron ingots can still be made using wrought iron ingots or sheets.

enableVanillaIronRecipe false
If true then TFC+ wrought iron ingots can be converted to vanilla Minecraft iron ingots by placing them in your crafting space.
enableVanillaRecipes false
If true then the vanilla Minecraft recipes for creating the following items are enabled: wooden tools and weapons, furnaces, torches, sticks, planks, storage minecarts, red and yellow dye, bonemeal, fences, fence gates, wood stairs, wood slabs, wool blocks and leather armor. In addition, the following recipes are added for converting TFC+ blocks and items to their corresponding vanilla Minecraft blocks and items: red apples, cobblestone, leather, and stone shovels, hoes and axes.

Wooden Items

Plank Blocks

In Terrafirmacraft+, crafting logs results in lumber instead of plank blocks. Nearly all wooden vanilla item recipes have been replaced to use lumber instead of plank blocks, but plank blocks are still obtainable if you wish to use them as a building block. To craft wooden plank blocks, all you need to do is combine four lumber of the same wood type in a square.

Beds

See also: Teepee

Beds are crafted using lumber and Linen Cloth, Cotton Cloth, Wool Cloth, or Silk Cloth

Buckets

See also: Pottery#Ceramic Bucket

Vanilla Iron Buckets cannot be crafted in TFC+. Wooden Buckets serve a similar purpose to a vanilla bucket, but is more limited in its uses. It can only pick up water to use in the crafting grid or to put it in a barrel and is therefore unable to place water. It can be used to carry water, milk and vinegar. It is totally unable to pick up lava (as would be expected of a wooden item).

Chests

Main article: Containers#Barrel and Chest

Chests are craftable using 8 lumber.

Doors

Vanilla doors are craftable using 6 plank blocks. However, TFC+ has new doors made with an alternative recipe that requires 6 lumber of the same wood type. This produces a door of the specific wood type.

Wattle doors are an early game version of the door that can be crafted using Wattle.

Signs

Signs require 6 lumber and 1 stick.

Trap Doors

Trap doors are craftable using the vanilla recipe of 6 plank blocks. However, Terrafirmacraft+ has an alternative recipe that requires only 6 lumber. Note: The vanilla recipe will yield 2 trap doors instead of one.

A metal trapdoor also exists - see the Metal Trap Door section.

Stairs & Slabs

Wooden stairs and slabs can be created using the respective mode on the Chisel.

Stone Items

Cobblestone

Cobblestone blocks are crafted using 4 rocks of the same stone type in a square.

Metal Items

Minecart

Using 5 wrought iron sheets, a minecart can be crafted in TFC+. Just like in vanilla, minecarts can be combined with chests to create a minecart with chest. A Minecart with chest can hold 2 rows of items, the equivalent of a TFC+ double-chest. Breaking the minecart with chest returns both the minecart and chest.

Minecart Rail

Using 4 wrought iron ingots and 2 sticks, minecart rail can be crafted in TFC+.

Powered Rail

Using 4 gold ingots and 2 sticks, powered minecart rail can be crafted in TFC+.

     64

Shears

Shears can be created on wrought iron or better anvil using two wrought iron knife blades.

Flint & Steel

Flint & Steel can be created using wrought iron, or steel, ingots in TFC+.

Metal Trap Door

The Metal Trap Door can be crafted by working a Metal Sheet and a Metal Ingot together on the anvil. The Metal Sheet must be in the left working slot of the anvil for the plan to become available to select. The Metal Sheet and Metal Ingot do not have to be of the same material. The hinge section of the Metal Trap Door will be the same as the Metal Ingot, and the door section will be the same as the Metal Sheet.

Note: As of 0.89.1, there is a bug where Pewter Sheets cannot be used to create Metal Trap Doors. This issues does not affect the usage of Pewter Ingots.

Compass

The Compass can be crafted with 4 Wrought Iron Ingots and Redstone Dust, which can be obtained from grinding down Cinnabar or Cryolite in a Quern.

The Compass, when held, can be used to accurately view the Region the player is in.

Clock

The Clock can be crafted with 4 Gold Ingots and Redstone Dust, which can be obtained from grinding down Cinnabar or Cryolite in a Quern.

Misc. Items

Levers

Levers are made with a stick placed on top of a rock.

Redstone Comparator

The Redstone Comparator can be crafted using quartz-based Gems (Agate, Amethyst, Jasper, or Opal) of normal or better quality in place of Nether Quartz.

Pistons

Pistons can be crafted with Wrought Iron ingots in place of the iron ingot from vanilla, and TFC+ cobblestone in place of vanilla cobblestone. Sticky Pistons can be crafted using a piston and a slimeball.

Torches

Extinguished Torches are made by crafting Stick, Straw, and Resin, or by dipping a Stick into a Barrel of Pitch

Note: Unlike Torches in Minecraft, Lit Torches will set nearby things on fire! Be careful to remove all flammable blocks around the area before placing the Torch. Use a Candle or Firepit for indoor lighting instead.

Fishing Rods

Main article: Fishing Rod

Fishing Rods can be crafted with a pole, needle, and String without a 3x3 crafting area.

Bow & Arrows

See also: Composite Bow

Bows can be crafted in two stages. First an unstrung bow is made with poles, a knife, and string. Then the unstrung bow is crafted with string to get a bow. Arrows are crafted with stone flakes instead of flint. Note: The TFC+ recipe produces 1 arrow, vs vanilla's 4. The Bow is also used to craft the Bow Drill.

Books

Books are crafted in the same way as vanilla, substituting TFC+ leather.

Item Frames

Item frames are craftable using 8 sticks and a piece of leather.

Saddles

Saddles in TFC+ are sewn from multiple leather pieces.

Slimeballs

Slimeballs are made by placing a Large Ceramic Vessel of Fresh Water on top of a firepit by crouching and   Right Clicking. Place several Small Raw Hides in the Large Ceramic Vessel, and seal the vessel. After four hours, the small raw hides will turn into slimeballs.

Slimeballs can be used in the creation of the Sticky Piston and in the creation of the Composite Bow.

Alcohol

While some Alcohol are still made by fermentation in a Barrel or Large Ceramic Vessel (though many recipes have changed), many are now distilled with a Still.
