Resin is an item in TFC+. It has a variety of uses, such as making Torches, Crude Bandages, and Wooden Staves.
Obtaining
Resin can be obtained by 
Right Clicking a natural log block with a knife. Doing so has a chance to not return any resin. Trees have an infinite amount of resin, and are not damaged by harvesting resin. Alternatively, knives can be stuck into trees by ⇧ Shift+ Right Clicking to harvest resin automatically, with one resin dropping every half in-game hour. If an unsealed Bucket or Large Ceramic Vessel is placed below the Knife, the Resin will be spawned into the container's inventory instead of being spawned on the ground.
Uses
Resin can be crafted together with straw to make a Primitive Bandage.
