About

A hard calcium-rich protective outer layer created by an animal that lives in the sea.

Obtaining

Seashells are found on both Gravel and Sand beaches. Additionally, Scallops can be found in the shallows of a Shore biome, which return two seashells and scallop meat when crafted with a knife.

Use

Seashells can be heated to produce Lime. As Lime can then be crafted into Flux, they can be used as an alternative to Fluxstone. To heat a bulk amount of Seashells, you can put them into a Ceramic Vessel. The Conch version of the Seashell can also be crafted into the Conch Horn, a musical instrument.

Trivia

Sea shells and Limestone are both mainly composed of Calcium Carbonate.

The texture names found in the mod files for seashells are Conch and Scallop.
