Musical instruments are items that were added in the Music Update. All instruments can be played to create sound. Currently, they have no practical use. Playing held instruments will slow down the player.

Bone Flute

The Bone Flute is a woodwind instrument crafted using a Knife and a Hollow Bone, which is an uncommon drop from Pheasants and Chickens. It can be played by holding it in the player's hand and right-clicking. The keys F, G, H, J, and B can be pressed to make a wide variety of notes.

Drums

The Drums are percussive instruments crafted with Leather, two Strings and either a Barrel for a large drum or a Wooden Bucket for a small drum. It can be played by placing the drum and either left-clicking or right-clicking it. Holding two sticks while doing this will produce a different sound and allow another sound to be played by clicking and holding H. Pressing F while left-clicking a drum will play a drum to its left if a drum is placed there. Pressing G while right-clicking will instead play a drum to it's right.

Lyre

The Lyre is a stringed instrument crafted in two stages. First, an Unstrung Lyre is crafted with a stick and three Lumber. Then, the lyre can be crafted with the unstrung lyre and five matching Strings. Similar to the Flute and Bugle, it is played by pressing the keys F, G, H, J, and B while right-clicking.

Bugle

The Bugle is a brass instrument uniquely made from a Brass Tube by Blacksmithing. Similar to the Lyre and Flute, it is played by holding down the keys F, G, H, and J. Note how unlike the flute and lyre, the B key has no use.

Blowing Horn

The Blowing Horn is crafted using a Knife and a Horn, which is an uncommon drop from male Aurochs. When right-clicked, it will produce sound. The pitch or note cannot be changed.

Conch

The Conch is arguably the simplest instrument, being crafted with just a Seashell, which must be of the conch variety. Similar to the Blowing Horn, right-clicking the conch will produce a sound and the pitch or note cannot be changed.

Ceramic Jug

The Ceramic Jug is not primarily an instrument. When the jug is empty, right-clicking will blow a note determined by the angle that the player is looking. Right-clicking a block will not produce a sound.
