Obtaining
Sinew is dropped when animals die.
Use
Sinew as thread in sewing. It can also used to craft the grip and string for the bow.

Trivia
Sinew (aka: tendon) is extremely tough when dry, but becomes soft and slippery when wet. For this reason, it is not used in the crafting recipe for the fishing rod.
