Redstone Dust 
Obtaining
Redstone Dust can be obtained by grinding down Cinnabar or Cryolite in a Quern.

Usage
The primary use of Redstone Dust is to ignite the Powder Keg.
Redstone can also be used for basic redstone circuits just as in vanilla minecraft, however there are no other restone devices other then the redstone torch and the note block.

Gunpowder 
Obtaining
Gunpowder is dropped by Creepers, or crafted with Charcoal, Saltpeter Powder and Sulfur Powder.
Usage
Gunpowder is primarily used as the explosive material in Powder Kegs.
It can also be used in the vanilla recipes for fireworks.
Saltpeter Powder 
Saltpeter Powder can be gathered by mining Saltpeter with a pickaxe.
Sulfur Powder 
Sulfur Powder can be gathered by mining Sulfur with a pickaxe.
Graphite Powder & Kaolinite Powder

Obtaining
Graphite and Kaolinite powder can be obtained by their respective Minerals in a Quern.
Usage
Graphite and Kaolinite powders are used in the crafting of Fire Clay.

Fertilizer 
Obtaining
Fertilizer can be obtained by crafting Bone Meal, Sylvite Powder, and Saltpeter Powder.

Usage
Fertilizer is used by right clicking on farmland to replenish nutrients.
Salt 
Obtaining
Salt can be obtained by grinding down Rock Salt Rocks in a Quern.
Salt can also be obtained by boiling a Large Ceramic Vessel filled with salt water on a firepit. If as Still is made by adding a Ceramic
Blowpipe in the item slot, and then putting another vessel adjacent to the first one, the still will produce Fresh Water in addition to the Salt. For every 500 mb of salt water in the vessel, the player will get one piece of salt (and 450 mb of fresh water if using a Still). To get the salt from a Still, you will have to remove the Blowpipe after boiling so the salt can show in the item slot.
Usage
Salt is used to extend the shelf life of raw meat.
The meat will have •Salted on the tooltip and its decay rate will be cut in half.
Ash and Soda Ash

Obtaining
When a Firepit is broken, it will drop 1-5 Ash. The amount of Ash dropped ranges increases for each log that is burned in the Firepit up to the maximum of 5 Ash if 4 or more logs are burned. Burning more than 4 logs does not increase the amount of Ash that will drop.
Soda Ash is made by burning Seaweed in a Firepit.

Usage
Ash and Soda Ash can be used in Glassworking. A ratio of 2:1:1 Ash to Silica Sand to Lime will produce 140 units of molten glass, while a ratio of 1:1:1 Soda Ash to Silica Sand to Lime will produce 140 units of molten glass.

Dye powders can be obtained by grinding down specific Ores and Minerals in a Quern.
