Description

A sling is a ranged weapon used to launch blunt projectiles. Three types of sling exist: primitive slings, cloth slings and leather slings.

Slings require rocks or lead bullets in order to operate. Projectiles launched by slings inflict crushing damage. Primitive slings have severely reduced durability compared to cloth or leather slings.

Obtaining

Primitive slings can be crafted using two pieces of straw cordage and one piece of straw.

Usage

In order to operate a sling, the player requires ammo in the form of Rocks or Lead Bullets. Lead Bullets inflict more Damage than Rocks.

Holding Rmb.png Right Click with the Sling selected swings the Sling. Releasing Rmb.png Right Click releases the sling, launching the projectile. The projectile is launched slightly to the right of the crosshair and not straight in front of it.

Trivia

In version 0.88.0 all slings had infinite durability. This was a known issue and was fixed in update 0.88.1.

Filling a bullet mold requires 100 units of metal despite producing 8 bullets, which equate to 80 units of metal. This is intentional, and is meant to represent loss of metal which happens when casting.
