Description
A sling is a ranged weapon used to launch blunt projectiles. Three types of sling exist: primitive slings, cloth slings and leather slings.
Slings require rocks or lead bullets in order to operate. Projectiles launched by slings inflict crushing damage. Primitive slings have severely reduced durability compared to cloth or leather slings.
Obtaining
Primitive slings can be crafted using two pieces of straw cordage and one piece of straw.

Lead bullets can be cast with lead in a bullet mould. The bullet mold can be made from clay using the following recipe and then fired like other molds.

Usage
In order to operate a sling, the player requires rocks or lead bullets. Lead bullets inflict more damage than rocks.
Holding right click with the sling selected swings the sling. Releasing right-click releases the sling, launching the projectile. The projectile is launched slightly to the right of the crosshair and not straight in front of it.
Projectiles can be recovered after hitting a surface. Lead bullets deform when hitting a hard surface such as stone, turning into lead chunks. Lead chunks need to be recast before being used again.
Trivia
In version 0.88.0 all slings have infinite durability. This is a known issue and will be fixed in a future update. Filling a bullet mold requires 100 units of metal despite producing 8 bullets, which equate to 80 units of metal. This is intentional, and is meant to represent loss of metal which happens when casting.
